Overtime repeated heating and cooling of your stove along with the leftover fuel residue can cause the jet to become stuck. If you use a variety of fuels we recommend regular maintenance to ensure you can easily remove the jet in the field using the field removal tool.
You may need to remove a very stuck jet and if you are not careful you might damage the jet trying to remove it. You will need a flathead screwdriver at least ¼ inch wide as shown below. You will need as much leverage as possible a vice can be helpful to hold the stove in place:
You will likely need to soak the jet in WD-40 or PB Blaster Penetrating Oil overnight to break down the gunk holding the jet in place.
