All of our Boundary and Black Canyon dry packs come with removable shoulder straps. If you’d like to take off the shoulder straps for easier transport—like securing the pack to your vehicle's roof, placing it in the bed of a truck, or making it more compact for airline travel—just follow these steps:
- Start by laying the pack down with the back panel facing up. Unthread the webbing from the load lifter straps at the top of the shoulder straps.
- Next, unthread the red tab from the plastic loop at the base of the yellow cord.
- Then, pass the yellow cord and plastic loop through the orange strip, angling the tip for better clearance.
- Unthread the long black tongue until the harness is fully detached. Now your shoulder straps are completely removed.
- To reattach your shoulder straps, just reverse these steps.
