Stuck Jets on the DragonFly and XGK stoves can be removed with a large screwdriver or a leverage-providing implement used in combination with the Jet and Cable Tool. See Stove Instruction Manual. We have some additional information here for DragonFly and XGK Stuck Jets
For WhisperLite Series stoves; you may need to use a wrench to get better leverage instead of the jet and cable tool, however, it is very easy to bend or damage the generator tube. Ideally use a vice or vice grips to hold the base of the burner where the jet is threaded into the fuel line:
Alternatively, a field hack is to flip the fuel line upside down, insert it back into the mixer tube then use the mixer tube to hold the base of the burner offering a bit more leverage and preventing the generator tub from bending. WD-40 or PB Blaster Penetrating Oil is very effective to help release the jet from the buildup causing it to remain seized. Spray the solvent into the threads of the jet as well as through the fuel line; let it soak overnight.
Inverted fuel line using the mixer tube to hold the base in place:
For jets that are severely stuck, a screwdriver may be placed through the “air hole” in the side of the mixer tube so that additional leverage is provided.
