Welded seams utilize radio frequencies (RF) to bond two pieces of coated fabric at the molecular level, creating a strong connection. This method offers a reliable, waterproof construction that outperforms traditional sewn-and-taped seams.
In contrast, sewn-and-taped seams involve stitching the fabric pieces together and covering the threads with protective tape for water resistance. However, RF welded seams can handle up to twice as much stress compared to sewn-and-taped seams, making them more durable and protective. That’s why we choose welded seams for all our SealLine dry bags.
